South Point

One of the busiest poker rooms in the city is barely in the city. At the south end of Las Vegas sits the South Point casino, just off highway 15 on the way to California, but only about ten minutes from the strip once you are on the highway. South Point rakes $5+3, with that $3 going to promotions that run day and night, bringing in players and showering cash around the room.

The staff is solid, the parking is free, and the food near the poker room is good, though there is no tableside food service. There are numerous restaurants within 100 feet of the poker room that will happily help you with takeout orders and text you when your order is ready.

In addition to $1/3, $2/3, and $3/5 no-limit holdem games, PLO runs on occasion, and big mixed games are frequently organized here, with $15 Double Board Bomb Pot PLO as the current fad, replacing the $50/100 Limit Omaha mix that ran for a few years.
